Turquoise hydrogen technology is the good hope for a sustainable future, produced through methane pyrolysis in which methane is broken down into hydrogen and solid carbon. Turquoise hydrogen is a plausible, lower-cost solution toward producing low-carbon H₂ and is gaining traction.

The conventional route to hydrogen, i.e. grey hydrogen from natural gas - has a high CO₂ emissions, and producers are running into issues with stricter emissions regulations, thereby requiring the need for ESG strategies, along with investor and shareholder scrutiny.
Turquoise hydrogen delivers hydrogen devoid of CO₂ emissions. The processes replace fossil-based hydrogen for current applications while still being able to hit corporate net-zero objectives.
