Low NOx Burner Market

Low NOx Burner Market - Global Industry Analysis, Size, Share, Growth, Trends, and Forecast, 2021-2031

COVID-19 Impact on Low NOx Burner Market

  • The COVID-19 outbreak is hampering the low NOx burner demand in many applications. Many governments across the globe enforced lockdown measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 disease. This resulted in slowdown and halt in manufacturing operations, restrictions on supply and transport, and infrastructure slowdown, which have been hampering the demand for low NOx burners.
  • Key players operating in the low NOx burner market are primarily tier I and tier II manufacturers and suppliers. Manufacture and supply chain facilities of these players have spread across various countries in Asia Pacific, Europe, North America, Latin America, and Middle East & Africa. Many of these players have halted their production output over the last few months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has negatively impacted the demand and supply chain of these materials.
  • The COVID-19 outbreak has directly affected the production and demand for low NOx burner. The industrial shutdown caused by the COVID 19 pandemic has created disruption in the supply chain. Disruption in supply of raw materials is projected to hamper full-scale operations of companies operating in the market.

Key Drivers of Low NOx Burner Market

  • The low NOx burner market has been expanding significantly of late. This trend is projected to continue over the next few years. Rising R&D investment, entry of new companies, product innovation, technological advances, efficient resource allocation, and growing competitiveness among companies are contributing to the industry's success. Government policies and incentives, as well as favorable regulations, are expected to boost the low NOx burner market in the near future. Rise in customer spending power owing to the growth in disposable income is expected to boost the low NOx burner market.
  • Increase in concern of governments about respiratory diseases and global warming driving the global low NOx burner market. Strict governmental rules and enforcement efforts against non-compliant businesses are hastening the adoption of low NOx burners. Other NOx management strategies are also available in the market today, one of which is IFGR (Induced Flue Gas Recirculation).

Restraints of Low NOx Burner

  • Fluctuation in prices of raw materials is the key restraining factor of the low Nox burner MARKET. Moving from older equipment to newer technology necessitates considerable, time-consuming, and costly furnace floor adjustments. Fuel gas, air preheat, particles, liquid droplets, and air leakage are all elements that influence NOx emissions from the burner. If allowed unchecked, NOx emissions could skyrocket because of these variables.
  • Burner can lower NOx output; however, the creation of CO2 and SO2 increases when this technology is used. Furthermore, because less fuel is used, the boiler's output and efficiency diminishes. This hampers the low NOx burner market.

North America to Constitute Significant Share of Global Low NOx Burner Market

  • In terms of region, the global low NOx burner market can be split into North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Middle East & Africa
  • North America has been accounting for majority of demand in recent years. The region is projected to follow the global trend of shifting away from polluting burners as a result of increased focus on emissions. Regulatory bodies in North America have compelled businesses to install NOx control systems, which improve combustion efficiency. The main source of increased NOx levels in these areas is large-scale industrialization. As a result, governments are enacting regulations that limit the amount of NOx that can be released.
  • Asia Pacific is also one of the key consumers of low NOx burners. The market in the region is anticipated to expand at a faster pace than that in other regions during the forecast period. Expansion of the construction industry is expected to drive the low NOx burner market in Asia Pacific during the forecast period.

Low NOx Burner Introduction

  • Low-NOx burners are designed to manage air and fuel mixing at each burner, resulting in larger and more branched flames. Less NOx is produced in the process when the peak flame temperature is reduced. The term "low NOx burner" refers to a burner that is designed to emit less than or equal to 0.040 lb NOx/mmBTU (HHV) while igniting natural gas at 3% stack oxygen at full design load without air preheat, even if actual emissions exceed 0.040 lb NOx/mmBTU after installation (HHV).
  • Advantages of a low NOx burner are improved combustion, lower peak flame temperature, and longer flames. The main advantage of this type of burner is the lower nitrogen emission, which can be as low as 30%. The necessity to reduce emissions from boilers is driving this change. Boilers are widely used in thermal power and chemical power facilities. Low NOx burners make good use of air recirculation, but higher fuel gas pressure and a bigger burner throat are required to produce the desired impact.
