A research is going on to study the cationic antimicrobial peptides effectiveness against clinically relevant microorganisms such as propionibacterium acnes. The study demonstrates that in addition to the antimicrobial activity, cationic antimicrobial peptides also exhibit anti-inflammatory effect.
